Does a house in a persons estate have to be sold/ 2.9.2013• A. Velasco• Posted At 03:00 PM

…before money in the bank can be received by the beneficiaries in a will?

IFA Andrew says:

Thank you for your question.

In the first instance, I would clarify the position with the executors of the will. They may want the house to be sold and the proceeds to be with the executors before they distribute the estate. Obviously, the sale of a house can take a lengthy period of time, so this could delay the beneficiaries receiving the proceeds of the estate.

I hope this answers your question, but if you have any of queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Basically, independent linvig means you are capable of linvig alone you can bathe, dress and groom yourself, take any meds at the proper times, can feed yourself, are mobile without assistance and can come and go without the need for monitoring.Assisted linvig means you need some form of assistance with daily tasks, whether bathing and dressing, remembering to take your medicines at the proper times, need help with mobility or eating, or need a secure environment in case of forgetfulness, disorientation or wandering tendencies.Hope this helps!
